The Big Day is Approaching

Tomorrow our precious little girl goes under the knife for a muscle biopsy.  We have been dreading and waiting for this day since we heard the news that "something is probably going on with her muscles" from the doctors at Texas Children's Hospital.   During these past few months I have turned to God more than I think I have ever in my life.  I speak to Him constantly asking God to make sure Abigail will be alright.  He has already Blessed Clayton and I with the most precious Gift and words cannot describe how unbelievably perfect she truly is inside and out.  In my heart I am preparing myself to hear bad news when we get the results from the biopsy back in about a month, but I am still going to pray for good news.  Right now the doctors are leaning towards a Myopathy--and this is best case scenario for us right now.  We check into Texas Children's Hospital at 6 in the morning and her surgery is scheduled for 8 am.  I will post pictures and keep you updated on her progress when we get home.  Right now my baby girl is calling for me in the other room so I am going to go snuggle with her and spend as much time with her as I can.  Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts...we are a strong family and our Faith is forever strong.

Can You Believe She is Already 2 years old!!!!!!!

Okay, my posts are getting few and far between.  The reason could be partly because my computer still has a virus so I have to use my work computer, and my camera is not hooked up to my work computer; therefore, I cannot share the 1,400 pictures I have taken since my last "photo" post.  Yes, that is 1,400 pictures---I take a lot of pictures of my family and I am hardly in any of them, but I guess that is what a mommy does.   Right now Abigail and I are home together for the summer---the most amazing perk in my job!  We are having the BEST time together and I am going to miss my baby girl when school starts again.  I am still going to work part time to be able to have the opportunity to be home with my Abigail on Mondays and Fridays.  Abigail is going to start going to preschool in the fall as well and she is already excited.  She constantly talks about "school" and the "school bus".  I have to remind her that she will not be riding the school bus until she goes to Kindergarten, but she sure does love seeing the school bus from the car!
Abigail is talking in full sentences---all day!  She is singing her "ABC's" perfectly clear and she is counting to 10 with her fingers.  Her latest sentence is "Mommy, I'm so proud of you"  she just melts my heart.  I think I say "Abigail, I am so proud of you"  a lot!! :-)
Abigail started walking as well!  This is a big deal for us here at the Wisian Household and I think I tear up everytime I see her walking---she has come so far with all that she has gone through and all that she may have to go through.  Her Ortho. Surgeon did mention possible future surgeries for Abigail's left hip---a left pelvic osteotomy.  He said her hips look good but the angle is not exactly what it should be so he is keeping an eye on it and we are hoping her hip starts developing normally like it should.
Abigail turned 2 years old last Thursday, July 7th.  We took her in for her 2 year well-check up and all is good.  Our daughter is 39.5 inches long (as tall as a three and a half year old). We know she is going to be a tall girl and we are so proud of her.  Clayton and I believe she received the tall genes from our grandfathers...my grandfather was around 6'4 and his grandfather is 6'4 as well.
Abigail is such a sweet kid and absolutely LOVES being with her "friends"  she really doesn't ever miss mommy or daddy when she is around other children..very social little girl and very ready for school.  We are so proud of our Sunshine girl!  She makes us so incredibly proud and happy every minute of everyday.  Right now I am going around the house and Houston frantically getting ready for her big "YO GABBA GABBA" 2nd Birthday Party, which is going to be held at our home this weekend...and we are going ALL out for this one!  We cannot wait to celebrate with close friends and family and Abigail cannot wait to PLAY and jump--on the moonwalk--and swim in the pool!!  Until next time...we send all of our love!
XOXO,
The Wisian Family

Long Time No See from The Wisian's

Oh my goodness!  I know it has been FOREVER since my last post, but let me tell you what happened to our computer.  Basically, to make a long story short I brought home a computer virus from my work pin drive and now we really cannot even activate the computer. I cannot even get to my pictures, which is breaking my heart.  This does not mean that I have stopped taking pictures of our little Buggy Boo--because I have plenty to share I just don't have the resource at the moment or the technology.  However, once I get everything back up and running we will have pictures coming out of your ears and it will be great.

Update on Abigail:
She is doing sooo well and is growing up so fast.  She is talking like she is 3 years old.  She speaks in complete sentences and is able to tell me everything she wants, which makes shopping soo much fun (wink wink)  Her favorite thing to say, or ask, is "What is that doing?" or "What happened to it?"  or "Where did it go?" when she is referring to looking at something in action such as a duck swimming in the pond, or the fan spinning hanging from the ceiling.  You get the picture :-)  She is just so curious. :-)
She is growing up so fast and is on the verge of walking, which brings me to tears to see my baby girl taking her first steps after all she has been through.  Currently she is "finger walking" everywhere and is so proud of herself when she does walk while holding our hands.  She will tell anyone who might cross her path, "Look, I'm walking!!"  and she will try to jump for joy when the person passing by says something like, "You are a big girl".
She recently received a toddler dollhouse with all of the furniture inside from her older niece Ashleigh and will spend at least an hour playing with the dollhouse and rearranging the furniture and the little people.  It is so sweet to see her pretend play.
We removed the high chair as she now uses a booster at the table and loves it.  We don't even use a high chair when we go out to eat...seriously, what happened to my baby girl!! She became a toddler soo quickly!!!  She is a size 4T and is 37 inches long...and she is losing some of her baby fat and actually looking like a little girl--wish I had the pictures on this blog to show you, but I am working on that.
We have had a case of a really bad stomach flu that turned into a Urinary Tract Infection which then led to hospitalization at Texas Children's Hospital, but she has since recovered and is stronger than ever.  We are so incredibly Blessed to have her in our lives.

I am really sorry there are not pictures to post in this blog but I will get working on that as soon as possible. :-)  I am in full birthday planning mode for Abigail's 2nd birthday party---yes, this momma does kid's birthdays big in this household!! :-)

XOXO,

Brooke's 29th Birthday and Abigail's 18 Month Check Up

Well, I cannot believe how fast the month of January just flew by!  It is already January 30th and I feel like the month and the year just began.  We have had a crazy few past weeks.  Not much has changed in the Wisian household, but we have managed to remain busier than ever. :-)
After we celebrated bringing in the New Year as a family, I started back up at work (I am still working as an occupational therapist in the school district) and Clayton went back to work (although my man never really got much of a break for the holidays but that is how business works).  Clayton's younger sister, Holly, came and stayed with us for a few days and it was so nice to have her with us as we miss her terribly now that she is back at school in Hawaii--paradise!! While she was here we took her all around to run our errands--poor thing--but we also took lil' Miss Abigail to her 18 month old check up with the Pediatrician.  Yes, she is already 18 months old--can you believe it?!?  Honestly, where did our baby go?  She is such a big girl now.  She weighed 34 pounds, is 36 inches long and off the charts for her age.  Her doctor let us know that Abigail is doing great and she is as tall as some three year olds.  Let me tell you, when she stands this girlie is TALL! :-)   She has always been longer/taller than other babies her age so there are no worries with how fast she is growing because she always seems to keep a steady pace with this. :-)

On January 24th I celebrated my 29th birthday party and my most amazing husband made a spectacular dinner for me and my family.  We had 11 over for dinner and this is what he made for us.
-A Pot Roast with all the veggies
-Chicken in wine sauce
-Steamed Asparagus
-Chilled Salad
-Rolls
-Mashed potatoes

He is so amazing!!! After dinner we all played Pictionary in our living room and had the most laughs in awhile. Here are some pictures from all occasions.

Christmas with the Wisian Family

I finally have a chance to sit down and write a little bit about our family Christmas 2010.  The entire month of December is usually spent with family and celebrating the birth of Christ together (The reason for the season after all)  The first weekend of December we went over to my older brother and sister-in-law house to have Christmas with my side of the family :-)  Todd and Kelli served everyone a lovely meal followed by playing a game of Bingo and then opening presents.  We had such a good time that we completely lost track of the time and left their house around 1 in the morning!!  Below are just a few pictures of Christmas celebration # 1.
 Our little family
Myself, my dad, and my adorable nephew, Garrett at Lupe Tortilla's!
Clayton and Garrett dressed a lot alike! :-)
Miss Abigail is ready for some dinner :-)

Abigail with her favorite person, Ashleigh. When Abigail sees Ashleigh in pictures or in person her whole body shakes from excitement! She adores everything about her cousin and can say her name clear as day.

So excited about opening presents this year
 Bingo time!

Now onto Christmas # 2 at the Wisian farm in Nordheim, Texas. We went to Nordheim, TX two weeks before Christmas and spent a few days with Clayton's side of the family. Below are some pictures from our second Christmas. :-)

Now for Christmas number 3 at our home.  We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with just the three of us.  We made traditional holiday sweets together on Christmas Eve, went to Mass, then out to dinner together.  Santa came and we woke up and spent Christmas morning at home and then went over to my mother's house for Christmas dinner.
